Ingredients:
1/2 kg Fish,Boneless and Cubed(washed and Marinated in 1 tsp lemon juice and salt for 15 minutes)
1 spring onion
iced water as required
oil for deep frying.
For the Batter:
1/4 cup refined flour
1/4 cup cornflour
1 egg white
3/4 cup iced water
salt to taste
For the sauce:
1 tsp ginger,finely chopped
1 tsp garlic,finely chopped
1/2 cup tomato puree
1/2 cup chilli sauce
2 tsp soya sauce
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup water
1 tsp oil
salt to taste
Method

Method
- Clean the spring onion and cut the leaves up to four inch long from the base.
- Make cuts into the white portion,and place the whole onion in the iced water.
- Mix together all the ingredients of the batter and prepare a mixture of smooth consistency.
- Heat oil in a wok.Now dip the marinated fish pieces into the batter and fry over high heat till they turn golden brown in colour.
- Drain the excess oil on absorbent paper and keep the fish pieces aside.
- To prepare the sauce,mix together all the ingredients and keep aside.
- Now boil the sauce in a pan and let it simmer gently for a few minutes.
- Add the fish pieces to the sauce and cook untill all pieces are coated with the sauce.
- Garnish with the spring onion and serve hot.
